Well-Women Guide to Reducing Stress and Finding Peace and Tranquility

Peace and Tranquility

I have always been someone who has suffered from stress and needless to say, my children now suffer from it as a result. I can not remember a time when I was not wound up and anxious and have become accustomed to living in an anxious state. It has taken me 43 years and much illness to make a concious decision to deal with it.

It is a killer. Lets face it, illness is born through it. We can reduce all the chemicals in our body but if we are still suffering from it, then what is the good of it all?

I have been researching deep breathing, meditation, Etherium Gold and other "sacred" minerals as a healing therapy and I have been taking them myself. I must say that taking Etherium Gold seems to produce the need to meditate to promote feelings of wellbeing whether you have meditated before or not.

I have never meditated and now feel the benefit from doing so. My anxiety has reduced just by listening to a relaxation CD, closing my eyes, deep breathing and thinking of windswept beaches, cliffs, seagulls, mountains and soaring above them all. Taking Etherium Gold, Aulterra and Chamae Rose no doubt helped the experience as I doubt I would have been able to do it without them, nor would have even thought of it, so finding relaxation methods has become a God-send. I felt very chilled and un knotted afterwards although I feel it will take a lot of practice to feel the full benefit.

I am someone who is always rushing about, feeling the knock on effect of it and constantly feeling wound up, extremely fatigued, guilty about God knows what, and in being like this, constantly have a knot in my abdomen, churning stomach and anxiety.

Developing the Thyroid condtion has inspired me to do this website as I am constantly trying to find answers and solutions in the hope that I can help not just myself, but others too. I therefore feel that stress has to be one of the things we eliminate in order to feel truly well and at peace.

It burns out the adrenals and its knock on effect in turn affects our entire body.

Have you ever suffered a panic attack? We know how stress destroys us by contributing to the deterioration of our health and many mystery symptoms. Indeed, thyroid conditions are made worse by stress, or even triggered by it in some.

It does not help our illnesses and only serves to make them much worse causing other conditions like Globus hystericus and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It is a vicious circle of stress and illness that we need to break. By reducing the it, we not only help our illness, but boost our immune system so that we can cope much better. All in all, we need to inject a massive dose of peace and tranquility into our hectic stress and illness filled lives.

Meditation was not something I was interested in and needless to say, had never even thought of in my hectic life. It would seem like an indulgence, however, I feel now that it is probably necessary to improving my health and wellbeing and finding peace and tranquility in what has become a very busy, cluttered and therefore mixed up brain. I am simply trying to regain my sanity and regenerate a depleted immune and endocrine system. Stress reduction through medidtation and relaxation therapy can do this, and you don't need to spend hours as it as I previously thought. It is simply taking time out to still the mind, do some deep breathing and regenerate.

Overall, the benefits of regular meditation are:

To quieten a hectic mind

To detach ourselves from stress and reality for a short time by escaping from the thoughts that so inundate our mind.

To allow ourselves "Peace of mind" (hard when we are constantly living in a world where we are in competition all the time, looks, job, children, or simply to be the best)

To be at one with yourself and generate self happiness in it's simplicity.

To over time, benefit our lives by setting aside time to quieten our thoughts.

To find inner peace which will sustain us daily by enabling us to be less reactive to stress, anxiety and irritation.

What else can we find by meditating?

Since we can use meditation for what ever purpose we want in addition to the above, it is also possible to further pursue spirituality from our own religious beliefs or to find personal enhancement and enlightenment if we are not religious.

It leads to true fulfillment that money and wealth can not provide.

Most of all, it has health giving benefits by providing the blood with more oxygen and therefore more nutrients.

Reduce blood pressure, pain and stress.

Help in the management of stress related conditions such as IBS

Endocrine balance

Strengthen the immune system

Improve our looks and slow down the effects of ageing

Improve concentration and strengthen the mind

I am doing much more research on this topic for the benefit of the site, but at the moment my meditation methods are basic and are as follows:

You will need whatever you like of the following:

tealights (to enhance the atmosphere)

Oil burner and tealight and relaxing essential oils such as lavender

CD of relaxing meditation or spiritual music

Loose comfortable clothes and bare feet

After the afternoon dose of Etherium Gold, you could start with a relaxing bath depending on how much time you have. (optional) You could also light candles and place around the bathroom and put 4-6 drops of pure organic lavender and jasmine essential oils (you could also add ylang ylang and or rose.)

After soaking for around 10 mins, put on a bathrobe or other loose clothing and lie or sit in a relaxing place with head supported, so you feel comfortable. Play the relaxing CD such as a meditation CD or calming tranquil music especially for stress and tranquility. Sounds of birds, waves or dolphins are ideal, with gentle music accompanying.

Close your eyes, but avoid falling asleep, as this defeats the object. Place your arms by your sides, palms on the floor or face down and feet/legs slightly apart.

Lie and allow your thoughts to clear and drift away, Breathe deeply in and out through your nose, and allow breathing to settle naturally. (don't over-breathe)

Listen to the music and be aware of your breathing. Let your body feel heavy and feel the floor or sofa/bed beneath you.

In you mind clear your thoughts and concentrate on your body, starting with your toes, feet, ankles, lower legs, knees, thighs, groin, hips, abdomen, stomach, chest, collar bones, spine, shoulders, neck, face and head. Then one by one, tense them up being aware of your breathing. Breath in as you tense your whole body, and breathe out as you relax it. One by one, tense up each of the above parts and conciously relax them, breathing in as you tense and out as you relax and keep them heavy and relaxed.

One word about the breathing. It should come from your stomach and abdomen, and not your chest. So when you breath in, put one hand on your chest. It should stay still and the air should be taken in to your stomach which should rise and expand. (This is the correct way to breathe and if you look at a baby sleeping, this is the way they will breathe. We as adults become accustomed to breathing through our chests from tension and this is shallow breathing)

This deep breathing through the stomach and abdomen is the method you need to use for meditation and stress relief. You are actually using your diaphragm properly. (Diagphragm is the shelf of muscle extending between the thorax and the abdomen)

As you breathe, hold on to the breath in your lungs for about 10 seconds before exhaling slowly. If you can, breathe in and out through your nose, but if this is difficult, then whatever way is comfortable for you is best.

Try to keep all parts of the body fully relaxed and concetrate on your breathing and the music and let your thoughts be focused on these two things. Gently push away invading thoughts.

I usually imagine myself soaring above the crashing waves or walk by the sea or in a beautiful place and feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the warmth of the air in my stomach as I breathe in and out. If you are spiritual and or religious, then it may be beneficial to also focus your thoughts in that direction and that is what I sometimes do and it makes the meditation more meaningful and sometimes the meditation can be devoted to an intention in this respect. Whatever religion you are, or whether your religious or not, meditation will benefit you, as long as the thoughts are tranquil and positive.

Think peaceful and happy thoughts and focus only on these. Do not allow yourself to wander into sadness at this time. If so, gently remove the sad thoughts or gently push them away. All thoughts need to be positive to make you feel refreshed in this type of meditation. (It is all too easy to lapse into something sad. Don't fight against it, but don't dwell on it either)

Stay like this for as long as you want and when you are ready, gradually allow yourself to become more aware of your surroundings and bring yourself slowly back to "normality". This should be taken slowly and by no means suddenly leap up because you have remebered the oven is on. End the meditation by either placing your hands on the floor/bed/sofa or gently clapping your hands together as an indication to your body that the meditation has ended and you are "back". Make a habit of meditating in the same way each time.

Points to note:

Allow yourself plenty of time when you are not waiting to go somewhere like the school run or when you are not expecting anyone. Do not set alarms. Go to a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

1. Etherium Gold assists with thought focus

2. Practice regularly for whole mind/body balance and benefit, as well as stress relief.

3. Come out of the meditation slowly. You may feel a little dizzy afterwards, so don't leap up. Once you are fully aware, sit up very slowly and once you feel ok, then get up.

4. Putting you hands on the floor afterwards helps you to come back to earth.

5. Meditation boosts the immune and endocrine system

6. Medictation alkalises the body which is beneficial for good health.

We will discuss other methods of meditation as I research them further. The above method works very well for most people, but there are also others.
