Below is a list of foods to avoid and also a list that you can eat when on the anti-candida diet.
The anti-candida diet is the only way to completely rid yourself of Candida, so it really does need to be stuck to. Sugar and yeast feed candida - period. They have to be sacrificed.
It is an idea to perform the spit test prior to the diet to check the severity of candida.
How do I perform the spit test?
Take a glass of water up to bed with you when you retire for the night.
In the morning, before you get up or put anything in your mouth, spit into the glass and leave for around 30 minutes.
Return to the glass after this time and observe.
You may see many things, but the most indicative is seeing saliva floating on the surface with strings or legs coming off it. Sometimes this can look pretty awful, almost like a creature!!!
You may see specks or clouds in the water or even very cloudy saliva at the bottom of the glass.
Check the water again after an hour. If there are no "strings" and the saliva is still floating on the surface, then you probably do not have systemic candida, although it is an idea to maintain intestinal flora with probiotics, maintain liver support with something like Chamae Rose with Black Walnut daily to keep it at bay. There are many products that are anti-yeast.
Perform this salvia test on the same day each week while following the diet or any treatment. You will see the improvement.
Alongside the diet, most people take anti fungals.

Foods to avoid
To state the obvious, anything with sugar should be avoided completely. To take it is therefore feeding the candida.
Avoid anything containing yeast, so read your labels - such as breads, wheat, white four, white pasta, white rice, cereals, semolina anything containing gluten.
Carbohydrates in general - candida feeds on it.
Products containing vinegar - once again check the labels. Think mayonnaise, salad cream and dressings, coleslaw etc Ketchup, pickles and chutney.
Cheese products (except cottage cheese) and fermented cheeses as well as processed cheese.
Alcohol (any kind)
Mushrooms - they are a fungus
Any product showing any signs of mould
Fruits such as melon or grapes or damaged fruit.
Beetroot (beets) carrots, sweet potato and yams
Honey or any other natural sweetener or artificial sweetners, molasses, agave nectar etc
Caffeine products (tea and coffee)
Dairy products except sugar free natural yoghurt or pro biotic without aspartame or saccharin or any kind of sugar (glucose, fructose or anything ending in "ose"
chocolate and sweets
Peanuts
Fizzy or carbonated drinks
Fruit juice or squash
Processed foods, meats such as ham, corned beef, salami or any packaged meats, read your labels.
Tinned foods
Hydrogenated fats
Food should be as fresh as possible and organic where possible.
Foods you can have (phew!!!)
Many of these will be things you are not used to and yes it is a struggle, but you will get rid of the candida this way and feel magnificent as a result.
Chicken, fish and meat - not fried or coated with anything. Steamed, roasted or grilled. Limit red meat. Use organic/free range where possible.
Goats and sheeps milk or yoghurts made of these.
A small allowance of cows milk is allowed but make sure it is skimmed for breakfast cereal
Porridge oats with milk from allowance if not using goats or sheeps milk (not everyone's cup of tea.) No sugar.
Xylitol may be allowed as a sweetner as it claims to be anti-candida. This will depend on your weekly spit test monitoring - it does not work for everyone so may need to be eliminated. Stevia is an alternative.
Vegetables (except the one's on the no list), (not potatoes) (vegetables can be fresh or frozen) and salads including tomatoes and avocado
Eggs
Rye bread, ryvita, rice cakes, oat cakes
Oils: Olive oil, flaxseed oil, coconut oil
Seeds such as pumkin, flaxseed and sunflower
Coconut milk (has anti-candida properties)
Some nuts such as pecan and walnuts and cashews in moderation
Pulses such as peas and lentils
Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, humus
Fruit - a piece a day but not melon banana mango or grapes because of their sugar content. Apples are ideal as is papaya.
Herbal teas and mineral water are the only beverages permitted or freshly juiced vegetables
Herbs, especially parsley (fresh)
Garlic and onions particularly good for candida
Sea salt crisps
Well there you have it.
Supplements to support this in addition to anti-fungals are caprylic acid (mycopryl) bioacidophilus, acidophilus, wormwood, MSM (sulphur) digestive enzymes, serrapeptase, Chamae Rose with Black Walnut
