Well-Women Guide to Water - Source of Life

Water is probably one of the most necessary of all our needs. Next to oxygen, it is the most needed element.
We can not live without it and neither can anything else.
When our bodies are not fully hydrated, they just can't function properly and headaches and tiredness are more often than not, a sign of dehydration. In fact, when you become thirsty it is a sign that you are completely dehydyrated and things have gone too far and that's not to say that when you are not thirsty that you are still not dehydrated.
With age, we lose the ability to use it sufficiently within our bodies. If our cells are damaged then it is not utilised and is retained within tissue showing as puffiness and retention.
We need certain supplements in order to keep the cells healthy so that they can utilise water in our bodies otherwise it is a bit like a sieve effect leaking out into all the wrong places!!
If you suffer from autoimmune disease or thyroid disease then you need plenty to flush out toxins, as do all of us whether we are well or not. Aim for around 6 glasses /b>We can increase hydration with food like fruit and vegetables too as many have a high water content, such as melon, cucumbers grapefruit etc.
Remember, if your lips are dry, you need hydration and dry cracked lips are a sign that you are constantly dehydrated.
How can we do this?
In addition to spring water, drink plenty of clear fluids, herbal teas and clear fruit and vegetable juices, clear soups and increasing fruits and vegetables and salads with a high water content. Try to eat as much of these raw as possible as cooking destroys water and nutrient value.
What will it do?
As well as keeping our bodies hydrated, our kidneys working correctly and toxins flushed from the body, it will promote clear healthy skin, clear acne, minimise wrinkles, reduce cellulite and increase our skins elasticity, keeping us looking and feeling younger for longer. It will also help us with mental clarity and make us feel less tired, more refreshed and clearer thinking. Our brain is 75 per cent water so even mild dehydration will cause a headache.
What supplements will help with this process?
Amino Acids for the promotion of collagen and elastin production, lecithin for upkeep and maintenance of cell walls, glucosamine to increase fluid content, anti oxidants like grapeseed extract, goji berries, pomegrante juice and CoEnzyme Q10 to fight free radicals and repair damage to cell walls, essential fatty acids like Rosa Mosqueta, Hemp oil, Flaxseed oil and fish oil will help the moisture to stay within the cells and zinc and aloe vera as anti-inflammatory agents.
Remember:
You need the supplements to help the cells hold moisture by repairing them.
Hydration can come from herbal teas, fresh fruit and vegetables and salads, smoothies and soups. It doesn't have to be boring and it is very hard to drink 2-3 litres a day and keep running to the loo. Also, we don't always get the time, so let your diet help, but be aware that water is needed.
The best time to drink water is first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, so it is recommended to drink about half a litre at this time.
Drinking water with food or just after, dilutes hydrochloric acid in the stomach, therefore food can not be digested efficiently.
The only country in the entire world where tap water is fit to drink is Iceland as all water here is natural spring water
